The Philadelphia 76ers are about to add a former NBA champion to their team.
Reggie Jackson, a veteran point guard, was recently traded from the Denver Nuggets to the Charlotte Hornets in a big six-team deal. After that, he agreed on a contract buyout with Charlotte. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Jackson plans to join the 76ers once he clears waivers.

This isn’t the first time Jackson has had a buyout agreement with Charlotte; it happened just 18 months ago too. Back then, he was traded from the Los Angeles Clippers and later joined Denver Nuggets where he won a championship in 2023 .
Jackson’s Journey and Skills:
Jackson brings not only his championship experience but also his friendship with Paul George into play. The Sixers signed George for $212M over four years this offseason. Fans might be excited about this duo reuniting on the court.
Throughout his career, Jackson has averaged 12.6 points per game. While he’s likely going to be a third-string player for Philly, his presence could be crucial during critical moments of the season and playoffs.
